The concept of 'postbiotics' has sparked widespread interest at the academic seminar on nutrition and health.
From December 20 to 22, 2019, the Nutrition and Health Academic Seminar and the Annual Meeting of the Shandong Nutrition Society were held in Jinan, Shandong. The purpose of this meeting was to promote the development of nutrition in Shandong Province, support the "Healthy China Strategy," implement the spirit of the "National Nutrition Plan" by the State Council and the Shandong Provincial Government, and facilitate academic exchanges in nutrition and the construction of the society.
Li Shusen, General Manager of Tianjin Chuangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Dr. Wang Haikuan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Nutrition and Food Safety Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, the R&D leader of Tianjin Chuangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and a professor at Tianjin University of Science and Technology, were invited to attend the meeting. At this meeting, Professor Wang Haikuan, as one of the keynote speakers, presented on the topic of "Research on Probiotics + Postbiotics Ecological Nutritional Foods," mainly introducing the research progress of probiotics and postbiotics, as well as the application of postbiotics in nutrition and clinical medicine. Professor Wang also provided a detailed explanation of the concept and main functions of postbiotics.
