Tianjin University of Science and Technology has reached a framework plan for deep cooperation with Chuangyuan Biotechnology.
On August 16, 2022, a delegation led by Dean Luo Xuegang, Professor Wang Nan, and Associate Professor He Hongpeng from the School of Bioengineering at Tianjin University of Science and Technology visited Tianjin Chuangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation in the Probiotic and Postbiotic Research Center and the Industry-Education Integration Innovation Practice Base, multi-platform co-construction, talent cultivation and introduction, and reached a substantial framework agreement for school-enterprise cooperation. Dr. Liang Wu, Chairman of Chuangyuan Biotechnology, attended the meeting with the company's executive team and relevant personnel.

Chairman Liang Wu warmly welcomed Dean Luo and his delegation, discussing the current development status of the enterprise,the Phase II production base and key laboratory project for micro-ecological preparations.He provided a detailed explanation, focusing on the construction planning of the key laboratory and the planning of the Industry 4.0 intelligent factory production section in the ongoing Phase II project. Chairman Liang Wu stated, "Our cooperation with Tianjin University of Science and Technology has a long history. From the early days of the company's establishment, we received strong support from the university. Both parties have engaged in in-depth exchanges around various probiotic segmented solid-state fermentation technologies and have had positive interactions in joint innovation of research resources, complementary collaboration, and talent cultivation and introduction. Currently, Chuangyuan has achieved a very broad market in the field of biological fermentation technology and food health, and has also made good industry research results in the scientific research and technology fields. As Chuangyuan continues to deepen its efforts in the biotechnology field, the industrial layout is becoming increasingly complete. We hope that in the future, both the school and the enterprise can stand at the high point of the industry, connect academia with industry, and create an efficient communication platform for industry-education integration, achieving deep cooperation in new technology innovation and application, as well as excellent talent cultivation and introduction, and empower each other in aspects such as platform co-construction, scientific research breakthroughs, innovative probiotic and postbiotic development, special medical,special dietaryfood development, and product resource integration, fully leveraging both parties' advantages to promote industry-education integration and form a virtuous mechanism for mutual promotion and common development, achieving a win-win situation for both the school and the enterprise."
Dean Luo Xuegang pointed out, "Tianjin University of Science and Technologyis the only university in the Tianjin Binhai New Area with a complete education system from undergraduate to doctoral levels. As the 'technology engine' of the Binhai New Area, the university has always actively responded to the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the national strategy for the development and opening of the Binhai New Area, strengthening strategic cooperation with regional and industry enterprises. Chuangyuan Biotechnology and Tianjin University of Science and Technology established a probiotic strain library with independent intellectual property rights through early cooperation, and developed an advanced sterile culture technology system for solid-state fermentation of probiotics. By segmenting the fermentation of aerobic bacteria, facultative and anaerobic probiotics, we have achieved the core technology for the simultaneous acquisition of various probiotics and postbiotics through green low-carbon manufacturing. As a biotechnology company specializing in new micro-ecological preparations, special medical purpose formula foods, special dietary foods, and functional foods, Chuangyuan has always been committed to the mission of food functionalization and health normalization, with a clear strategic development plan. Based on a high recognition of the enterprise, the university hopes to deepen cooperation with the enterprise in core technology platforms such as the screening of new functional probiotic strains, green low-carbon probiotic and postbiotic intelligent manufacturing technology, and functional food formula research, as well as in the construction of key laboratories and the cultivation and introduction of outstanding talents, promoting the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, and achieving the goal of multi-dimensional integration of industry, academia, and research."
At the meeting, Professor Wang Nan introduced the 'Microecology and Molecular Pharmacology Team,' and other teachers from the college also introduced their respective research topics, all hoping that both the school and the enterprise could quickly implement deep cooperation projects and jointly advance into new fields.
With the construction of Chuangyuan Biotechnology's Phase II production base, both the school and the enterprise will quickly promote the implementation of various cooperation contents discussed at this meeting, accelerating the formation of a comprehensive, in-depth, and multi-field integrated development pattern, actively creating a new benchmark for school-enterprise cooperation and industry-academia-research integration, and contributing to the high-quality development of the regional economy through technological innovation.
