Recently, the Tianjin Intellectual Property Office announced the list of winners for the 2023 Tianjin Intellectual Property Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invention and Design Competition. The project "Application and Promotion of Probiotics and Postbiotics in Blood Sugar Reduction" submitted by Tianjin Chuangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. won the first prize.

This competition was jointly initiated and organized by eleven departments, including the Tianjin Intellectual Property Office, Binhai High-tech Zone Management Committee, Municipal Education Commission, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Association for Science and Technology, Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Municipal Youth League Committee, Municipal Women's Federation, and Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce. After six months of intense competition, and through strict preliminary review by organizing units, expert evaluation, and approval by the director's office, ten first prizes, twenty second prizes, and thirty third prizes were awarded from twelve key industrial chains and technological innovation projects in the city. The Chuangyuan Biotechnology team, relying on its independent innovation research and development strength and persistent scientific research attitude, adhered to scientific inquiry, enhanced its technological core, and received high recognition from judges and leaders, winning the first prize.

On December 13, 2024, Tianjin Chuangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. received an invention patent certificate from the National Intellectual Property Administration for its independently developed and filed method and application for the preparation of Lactobacillus plantarum IOB701 fermented postbiotics powder (Patent No.: ZL 202411354886.X). This invention provides a method and application for the preparation of Lactobacillus plantarum IOB701 fermented postbiotics powder, which relates to the field of microbiology. The Lactobacillus plantarum IOB701 was preserved on July 10, 2018, at the General Microbial Culture Collection Center of the China Microbial Strain Preservation Management Committee, abbreviated as CGMCC, with the preservation address at No. 3, Courtyard 1, Beichen West Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, and the preservation number CGMCC No. 16077. Using grains or legumes treated with low oxygen stress as the fermentation substrate, the Lactobacillus plantarum IOB701 fermentation resulted in postbiotics powder, which, according to animal experiments, has been shown to improve chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depressive-like behavior in mice.
