Pea starch, as a major byproduct of pea peptide products, is mainly used in vermicelli, cold noodles, modified starch, starch sugar, etc., with a relatively narrow application range. Therefore, modifying pea starch to serve as a high-quality food ingredient or to improve the quality of specific foods has good application prospects. This project modifies pea starch into pea starch nanoparticles, a new type of modified starch that can effectively improve the taste, stability, and nutritional components of food. Experts in the domestic starch field believe that nano-modified starch is expected to serve as a functional food additive or fat substitute, and can even be used for wastewater treatment due to its large specific surface area and surface characteristics.
Chuangyuan Biotechnology applies this technology to the byproducts of its independently developed pea peptide products, broadening the application field and usage range of byproducts, and providing new ideas for the development of new raw materials and products.

The head of the R&D team at Chuangyuan Biotechnology stated that the company will take this opportunity to further rely on the postdoctoral research workstation to build a platform for industry, academia, and research, continuously empowering talent team building, optimizing the postdoctoral training environment and work mechanism; at the same time, stimulating the vitality of innovative entities, providing postdoctoral researchers with an open and inclusive research environment, encouraging them to engage in innovative research and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, solving critical technical problems, producing high-level scientific research results, and empowering the development of China's health industry.
