Beiyixiao - IOB

Bayixiao adopts 8 phrased solid-state fermentation techniques of multiple probiotics to dry, grind, compound and package the fermented soybean and hemp seed at low-temperature. During the cultivation of probiotics, a variety of major active metabolites, such as digestive enzymes, soluble dietary fiber, soybean oligosaccharides, polysaccharides, polypeptides and polyphenols, are successfully retained in the products. Meanwhile, these metabolites can naturally embed and protect probiotic cells; the product contains two kinds of prebiotics: galactooligosaccharide and fructooligosaccharide. In this way, the combination of active metabolite and prebiotics enables the product more stable and active.

Children's intestinal health matters
Childhood and especially infancy are critical to the establishment of normal flora. At this period, the normal flora is fragile and unstable, which is easily subject to the natural environment, physiological and pathological impacts as well as drugs, resulting in flora disorder and related diseases. Animal experiments have confirmed that there exists a "window period effect" in the development and maturation of important organ functions, such as immunity, metabolism, nutrition, etc. Therefore, the active use of probiotics to prevent and treat children's diseases related to flora disorder can not only work in the short-term term. It can also have a long-term beneficial effect on the body.

Postbiotics, also known as "probiotics", or metabiotics or acellular supernatants, are soluble factors, secreted by live bacteria, or released after bacterial lysis providing physiological benefits to the host. Soluble factors include short-chain fatty acids (the important ones in the intestine include acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid), enzymes, peptides, phosphoteichoic acid, muropeptide (peptidoglycan derivative), endogenous and exogenous polysaccharides, bacterial outer membrane protein, vitamins, bile acids, and long-chain fatty acids.

Metabolites secreted by intestinal microflora:
① Metabolites produced by intestinal flora directly through dietary components;
② Metabolites produced by the host and chemically modified by intestinal flora;
③ Metabolites synthesized by intestinal flora.

According to double-blind randomized controlled trials abroad evidenced, the effect of postbiotics, which are produced by Lactobacillus paracasei CBA l74 when fermenting skim milk, was better than that of placebo, and postbiotics have a positive impact on common infectious diseases of children aged 12-48 months. In addition, postbiotics, produced by Lactobacillus paracasei CBA during its fermentment of skim milk, can prevent acute gastroenteritis and upper respiratory tract infection in children.

Further studies showed that Lactobacillus and Ruminococcus increased in the treatment group with postbiotics. At the subgenus level, Roseburia increased after the intervention and showed a positive correlation with secretory immunoglobulin A (IgA) and human β-defensin 2 (hBD-2). Blautia and Bacteroides also augmented and showed a positive correlation with α - defensin. In addition, postbiotics interventions showed elevated levels of butyric acid in feces.
